Find a nutrition professional
Significant evidence indicates that cancer patients can benefit greatly from counseling with a registered dietitian and, in particular, those with an oncology specialization. Registered dietitians who are Certified Specialists in Oncology (“CSO”) have at least two years of professional experience and a minimum of 2000 hours of nutrition practice in oncology. In addition, they have passed a national certification examination. In order to find a dietician with the CSO credential, click on the link below and a map of the United States will appear. Click on the state where you live and you will find a list of dietitians in your state along with their contact information. Look for the ones with the CSO to the right of their name to find those with the CSO credential. Contact the dietetic professional and arrange an appointment to receive counseling to help you with your nutritional issues.
